I see you at the foot of the altar
saying something to your younger brother
as I walk down the aisle while
smiling at that wacky face you have.

It took a lot of waiting, longing and praying
for someone like you to walk into my life
as I was always focused on work and my advocacies
admittedly, I was never a homebody before you came.

My love for the environment is still there
my VAWC journey took nine long years
my passion for perfection always sits in my lap
but, your presence in my life made it more meaningful.

You are my worst enemy, yet, you are
my chocolate to my milkshake
my maple syrup to my pancakes
my bestfriend and constant critic.

You are the love of my life
and like what the song says
"my happy ever after"
Today and always, You are My Forever.#
