Naaamoy ko pa ang asim ng suka
sa singkamos na inulam mo
nuong gabi ng Mayo 19, 2009.
Natatandaan ko pa ang ngiti mo
nuong ininterbyu ka ukol sa CARPER
at nakita ka ng mga kasama
sa telebisyon.
Naririnig ko pa ang tawa mo
nuong nagpupulong para sa
susunod na mga hakbang
alay sa mga magsasakang
walang lupa.
Nararamdaman ko pa ang pakikipaglaban mo
sa bawat segundo ng aking buhay,
sa bawat pagpatak ng aking luha,
sa bawat tanong sa iyong pagpanaw.
Hanggang sa ating muling pagkikita
kaibigan
kapatid
guro
lider
magsasaka
ama
Paalam kasama.#

Long before we became close
I have never been the type to disclose
My biggest fears or happy thoughts
It was only through you I shared my truths.
Thank you for the genuine friendship
You have been a dear sister eversince
I have always admired your strength
As you would do anything for your kids.
Sometimes, I do wish we could have more time
Where I could talk to you more often
But, I do understand how exhausted you have been
Rest assured, I will always be here for my bestfriend.#

Someone else who will not play around
You told me you are sorry for not loving me back
As much as I have loved you eversince
Yes, the truth hurts that I have never forgotten
The pain still lingers every time you text or call
Every time you update me on your life
How can I move on when I am always reminded of your sweet smile?#

Kung kelan nakasulat pa ng tula
Hindi mo na ako makukulit
Sa mga tanong mong 'legal' at konkrit
Hindi mo na ako maihahatid
Sa malaki mong bike na manhid
Hindi mo na ako mate-text
Gamit ang bagong number mo, my tweet
Inamin ko pa sa iyo nuon
Na minahal kita ng ilang taon
Naiyak noong sinabihan mo ako
Sa totong dahilan dahil nabigo
Kararating lang ng balita kanina
Pumanaw ka na pala aking kasama
Sadyang napaiyak at yumuko

Like, just last year I had another, too
Very blessed to have known you my dearest sister
A very dedicated mother, wife, daughter, doctor and teacher
A lot has happened for the past 39 years
Understanding and loving even when there are tears
Zest you have in everything you do in your vocation
A woman whose life is always an inspiration.#
